Kristin Fisher has joined CNN on July 20, 2021. She is the station's Space and Defense Correspondent. In this role, Fisher will cover everything including NASA's new Space Force to commercial space business and the emergence of space tourism. Kristin is the daughter of NASA astronauts and a space enthusiast has spent her entire childhood within the space industry. She served for five years as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy during the Biden and Trump administrations. In her tenure, she reported on the presidential 2020 campaign, the impeachment trial as well as two initiatives to end the spread of coronavirus and two other administrations' initiatives. Additionally, she went on trips with President Trump and the Vice President often. It included a secret trip to Afghanistan. Kristin was a local television reporter for Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., which she won an Emmy Award for her work as a "one-man-band" reporter, before becoming a reporter for CBS in 2015. Kristin, who is a skilled filmmaker, founded Field Mouse Films, a business that specialises in documentary style films, for clients such as Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin holds a Bachelor's degree in journalism from Boston University. She and her husband reside in Washington, D.C., and has a three-year old daughter.
